(8/18/94 & 8/19/94) These are two half-hour specials chronicling six months in the lives of three juvenile offenders who were sent to the Penikese Island School off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The documentary follows the boys as they go through the program and tracks their progress afterward. The work presents an intimate, longitudinal view of the effects of an unusual program for troubled kids and explores the notion of “success” in rehabilitation from both a personal and social perspective.

(A half-hour follow-up documentary was broadcast on 1/2/95).
